At the time Innovative Outdoors started maintaining Mr. Lee's lawn, he had the standard builder's landscape package, bermuda grass, and a basic irrigation system. After a complete landscape overhaul and an in-depth maintenance package, Mr. Lee's yard is the best looking yard year-round, in one of Gwinnett's nicest neighborhoods. Designing and installing a beautiful landscaping package is a skillful process, requiring a vast and complete knowledge of the intricacies involved with the outdoors. However, everything invested in the landscape is put to waste if the property is not properly maintained afterward. The Innovative Outdoors maintenance staff goes through a very thorough process to maintain the beauty of Mr. Lee's yard.

During the growing season, the lawn is mowed twice weekly with a reel mower, which keeps the lawn always looking neat and in order. Mowing so frequently helps stimulate growth, which helps the lawn look so full. Also during each visit, the lawn is also carefully edged, trimmed, and blown. To help maintain the color and health of the lawn, it is aerated twice a year (once in the spring and once in the fall). The lawn is also treated with an in depth pre and post-emergent weed regimen, as well as fertilization program that includes six applications. Pruning, deadheading, and cutting back of the various plants keeps the landscape as healthy and vibrant as possible. Pruning is a necessary step in keeping the blooms and flowers on the plants coming back as long as possible. The basic irrigation system the builder provided was completely overhauled; Innovative Outdoors added five irrigation zones to the basic four zone package to adequetely cover all of the plant material that had been added. In the colder dormant months, Innovative Outdoors overseeds Mr. Lee's lawn with winter rye  to give the lawn a lush green color year-round.
